This is he place where I spend most of my time, when not at home.. It's my secluded cave where I get jiggy with the art stuff. I feel very lucky to have this space to spread out and do my thing. Most people here don't, but somehow the printmakers are lucky enough to have a little bit of space allotted to them. I guess being a marginalized artform with few majors (at least at LSU), they can afford to spread the wealth. Most people with these studios (abandoned stadium dorms) are graduate students. I share the room with my pal Darby, another printmaker.. He specializes in digital stuff...
I am working on 300 different things right now.. woodcuts, webcomics (which I will shoot off into the universe via Killoggs first, then archive at my website fo-evuh), a set of silkscreened playing cards, the next issue of
Studygroup12, and I'm trying to figure out the details of the 3D comics thing, because I want to make one of those too. So I'm busy (and you better not steal my stupid ideas either!).. I think I'm also going to have a half table at the
MOCCA festival in June.. I haven't been to new york in a while, so I'm looking forward to that. Any of my NY killoggs peeps feel like donating floorspace? Craig, baby?
