And as I was summarizing various aspects of my existence when I got to Kristin all I could feel is LOVE in capital letters. So I decided I was going to ask her ASAP. Then I thought do I wait to save three months worth of cash for a ring when she is is not a diamond ring person? Well I come from a pawn shop/ thrift store family and I figured she would want to pick it out and there was no way I was waiting. Saturday was the day. So i planned on stopping at a truck stop on the way home and getting her something but then I thought why don't i just inform the room that I have need of a ring. But then I might end up asking her to marry me with an iron cross ring or something so I pondered and absorbed Neurosis and when they were done the drummer threw his stick out and it bounced off heads and grasping hands all the way back to me. And while I like Neurosis and the last drumstick I caught was Megadeth (91 w/ Slayer and Anthrax) I am more prone to give it to a friend that could not go. I tried to make the stick look cherished so that when the show was over I could trade it to some one for a ring so i went around and asked and there was a couple named Sarah and Matt and she gave me this silver ring she had been wearing since she was 14. So we drove straight back home and in the morning I checked my bank account to make sure if she wanted something from a pawn shop that I had some cash. So i had to keep chill all morning and we went out to eat at some nice pseudo-soul food swanky place called Miss Shirley's (?) And I had a Maryland crab omelette which was THE best omelette i have ever had because I was looking across the table at Kristin and she had no idea. So we went to the spot where we had spent several hours talking during our first date which was a large statue between the Ottobar and John's Hopkins University. On June 4th 2006 we had gone to see Boris play at the Ottobar it was more arena rocky sounding where I was hoping for Sleep/Buzzoven so we used that as an excuse to go take a walk. (OK sorry it's so long I just am excited and haven't typed this out yet.) So i took her to the statue and the exact spot where we had been a year seven months and twenty two days ago. I got down on both knees and pulled out my trucker wallet wherein i had hidden her ring and she thought i was foolin around until i started crying and I said I don't have all the answers to all the questions but i know i want to spend my life answering them with you. we hugged and I explained she's lucky she didn't get the long version involving wolves and babies and stuff so yadda yadda and then I had to ask her "So did you say yes yet?" and she said "Yes" and we went around and told her family cause we were going to tell my family after church Sunday which we did at the original Ledo's pizza by the dirtfarm because that is near where my Grandparents raised my Mother. My mother asked me to come by and pick up a phone bill at the house and there she gave Kristin one of her engagement rings. Now my Mom only got married once but the first ring was stolen and the replacement was not so attractive so they went out and bought one together and the ring that my mother now wears is the one my dad purchased from a co worker who had announced "I broke up with my girlfriend does anyone want to buy a ring?" (he wanted $600 Dad talked him down to $400) So she is wearing it now. We are looking at 6/7/8 as a wedding date. I need addresses from people but we are still working out specifics cause we are paying for the wedding ourselves and we have alot of planning to do main problem is I want to invite the world but i cannot feed the world.
