There is a band somewhere called Durango Reinhardt.

Did you ever see Sweet and Lowdown? You might like it; Monsieur Reinhardt has a bit of a role in it.

I'm not sure, I don't know Josh pretty much at all. Given the range of other music he's talked about liking, I wouldn't have picked Django to throw in that mix.

the vangelis is all from this bootleg double disc restored bladerunner soundtrack that was created by some of the original audio engineers... i can YSI it if you are interested.

Last night me and Abby heard an album of raggae covers of OK Computer. It was such a bum-out.

On the wuss-music tip I've been listening to Lux Perpetua a lot.. especially this song called "Drive Me Around". According to last.fm I'm their biggest fan but that's out of 12 people who listen to them, apparently.

My two fav albums of the week are the new TV on the Radio, and the new Beck. I'm also enjoying a DC band called the Casual Dots.

The new TV on the Radio is on heavy rotation with me as well. I also like that there are some guest appearances on here, most noticeably by the girl from blonde redhead, who's voice I found ridiculously hot for some reason. I still do somewhat, but not like my sophomore year of college.

That said, the album itself has one intense groove throughout.

Another notable DC band who just had a CD release, which I unfortunately didn't pick up, is Shortstack. Drew turned me onto them, and they are defintely worth a listen if you're into country of the non-pop sort.
