Somehow, I don't think that's what you were asking, though.
NuckleheadEd [ url ] said at 9:54 AM 03-08-2002: I happen to have a degree in tyheoretical pyhysics, from tyhe University of Soutyh Florida. I'd be more tyhan happy to help wityh any questions you may have.
anotherben said at 10:03 AM 03-08-2002: my question is tyhis.. according to a combination of the zero-th and first laws of tyhermodynamics, perpetual motion machines are impossible. thats something not too hard to swallow. my question is does the universe have to adhere to these laws since the laws are a subset of universal pyhenomena, and if so, does that mean that ultimately, everything has to come to a halt? or is the universe, being the universe, able to roil and swirl for an infinite amount of time since the net energy would never change..and thus one could argue no work is being done and therefore the universe doesnt qualify as a machine of any sort.
NuckleheadEd [ url ] said at 2:34 PM 03-08-2002: Tyhat's a very good question. I will try to keep tyhe answer in layman's terms, to keep from confusing anyone wyho may be trying to follow along: I like cyheese.
kiche [email] said at 11:46 AM 03-08-2002: jeff, although i was very pissed off and yelled at you i do not think i was out of line. you called me at 5 a.m. i have two roommates who have to get up for 7 and 8 a.m. you got one of them (ben) to get up climb down a ladder and knock on my door.
i have to commend ben on how not pissed off he was. i, personally, would have been livid. so i was livid to you for him.
part of living with others is being considerate of their needs; and i look like a complete jackass when someone calls me up at 5 a.m. when my roommates are trying to get sleep for work.
i was half asleep, so i don't know exactly remember what i said, but if i had been fully awake it would probably have been much worse.
with hindsight, though, i probably made this out to be much worse than it actually was. at the time i had visions of myself being evicted, so i apoligize for yelling at you.
i also apologize for not having kept in touch with you better. i have been very busy lately. you can see by my lack of input on killoggs that i am not able to get on the computer very much. my weekdays are generally spent going to work, working, and coming home from work. i usually have a few minutes to myself in the morning. weekends i spend hanging out with craig and seeing the city. saturday night is a good time to call me at craig's. i usually do laundry on sunday nights, so that is a good time to call me at home. friday nights i am either here or at craig's.
anotherben said at 12:04 PM 03-08-2002: haha..and dont worry. no ones getting evicted. i will just kill you in your sleep. the shower curtain is the only source of lasting annoyance.
zack [email] said at 3:51 PM 03-08-2002: Milky, I can't believe you called someone at 5am their time and got this pissed at them for not wanting to talk. I know you were drunk, but come on. Try thinking about other people every once in a while. That's exactly why I didn't want to let you call me last night.
milky [email] said at 4:04 PM 03-08-2002: I had 4 job leads for him, though. He did say at some time, a few months ago, that he'd consider working here. I shouldn't have looked. Kiche is an adult anyway...what, 28 or 29?
I've heard a million different stories about the times her works, the only think I know is that he gets home VERY late. I was drunk, but I wanted to give him a call. Sorry I woke his peeps up or woke him up. Kiche wants temp work. fine. Good luck with that student loan buddy.
BTW-- I'm not being rude, but I really don't lecture people here. You seem to do it quite a bit. Thank you for you comments and advice, but if you're gonna lecture my ass, get in line behind my parents and my girlfriend and take a number. Drop me an e-mail.
This little disussion/thread between you and me is OVER.
zack [email] said at 6:01 PM 03-08-2002: I'd just like to point out that Milky's the only person I ever "lecture" here. (although that's obvious, really)
I'd also like to let everyone know that after a long drawn out AIM convo, we've reconciled our differences and are planning a reuinon tour to back our upcoming album "Bitches ain't Shit (unless they pay our bills)"
milky [email] said at 6:12 PM 03-08-2002: Kiche, I honestly thought you'd be awake at 5am. I thought you worked really messed up hours. I figured you be at home watching TV at 5am just like I'd be watching the news at 5pm. I really thought your schedule was that messed up.
buster said at 11:47 AM 03-08-2002: You know what's funny? When someone posts a real angry message, their happy little head is just to the left smiling all the same. There should be a selection of heads with different emotions.
brianbibbly [email] said at 11:58 AM 03-08-2002: Well he doesn't have to add 'confused' to my head, I've already got that one permanently affixed to my face.
amy [email] said at 3:04 AM 03-09-2002: Um. Hello. Who the hell gets out of bed at 5AM to answer the phone. Nothing is that important. If somebody died, they're dead, if somebody is dying they probably don't live in the same city as you and you can't catch a flight until you dredge up the cash or pack the car. So again, only losers answer the phone while sleeping ( or for that matter, bathing, watching tv, making out, or eating).
anotherben said at 11:29 AM 03-09-2002: well...the way i figure it.. if somebody is calling at 5am.. it must be about something pretty damn important. so to answer your question. i do.
mary [email] said at 6:34 PM 03-09-2002: Yeah well, seems to me that the real reason Milky called Kiche was because he was lonely and bored. The job thing was a pretext. I mean, seriously, it's not like Kiche was gonna fax over his resumes to these "job leads" at 5 fucking in the morning.
Anyway, I know it sucks to be away from all your friends and family, wondering when you are going to find a job, etc. Even the awesomest SO in the world can't make up for that. Things will get better, Jeff, when you get out of the house and start meeting people.
zack [email] said at 10:39 PM 03-10-2002: Actually, she's right. Milk tried to get me off the internet soon before that so we could talk because he said he was "drunk" and "lonely". And there's nothing wrong with that. I have called many people in the middle of the night for those very same reasons. I was going to sleep, so he called someone else. Later still, he called Kiche.
