I was driving home today listening to one of the oldest cassette tapes I own that is still in functioning order (Lush's "Gala" - the other two are the the second Morbid Angel record and Metallica's "Ride the Lightning," in case you're curious) and I realized that all of the solo stuff I've been doing is a direct sonic ripoff of the Lush song "Baby Talk," except my stuff is even noisier and louder and more harsh. I think only Carla may get my drift here, but that's ok. Carla and I were sulky goths a high school apart.

Um, I'm going to ask J. Potter to record me so, uh, people might actually hear the songs I've been blithering about, rewriting and re-editing and fussing over, for the last four years. Probably, the world will be underwhelmed.

I need more effects pedals though. And maybe I will build myself a goddamned pedalboard.
