Bendependent [email] said at 1:29 AM 05-18-2007: hot fuzz looks like it could be mildly entertaining. i imagine it's "good, but you know, not as good as shaun of the dead"...
I don't want to see another movie for a long time. I have to give my brain time to heal...
john [email] said at 10:32 AM 05-18-2007: Didn't see this movie, but I saw your comic in The Reader here in Chicago. Yuppieopoly. Hilarious! Extremely fitting to Chicago, especially with the parking situation.
myriam [email] said at 11:22 PM 05-28-2007: yeah that was really good!! it's easy to catch your stuff in the reader because the paper kind of falls open to your page pretty easy. only thing i can't figure out though--does it only run here every other week? seems like every other week i can't find it in its regular spot, but i can't tell if i'm just being retarded or not.
reggie [email] said at 12:21 PM 05-25-2007: I don't think it was all that bad. But I did leave the theater with a "is that it?" kinda feeling. It definitely didn't hit me as hard as the first one. It feels more like a set up for "28 Months Later" or whatever the inevitable part three will be called.
Bendependent [email] said at 4:36 PM 05-25-2007: the first one was so good. i doubt i will see the next one. i don't like watching movies where mindless violence is the story.
Bendependent [email] said at 4:49 PM 05-25-2007: uhhh. maybe. it could be trying to comment on lots of things. doesn't help to make it a better movie tho.
reggie [email] said at 11:24 AM 05-28-2007: Yeah I can definitely see that. I did think that while watching it. I mean there is the vibe of policy getting in the way of logic and/or emotion.
Like I said it's not as bad as Ben says but I don't think it's as good as the first one but that could just be due to us being familiar with the set up.
I'd take this over Saw, Hostel or many of the other newfangled "horror" films.
