Reality TV star and former model Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead Thursday after being taken to a Florida hospital after being found unconscious in her hotel room, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the case told CNN.

milky [email] said at 12:09 AM 02-09-2007: I think sucking an old guy in a wheelchair's cock for money is incredibly pathetic and in poor taste...knowing she wasn't in the will.
Unless you find that to be an uplifting statement that lifts the spirits.
I could be wrong, ya know.
Bile? No. The huge waste of media time, like Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, the fixation on obtaining money not willed to her...THAT'S pathetic. I have disgust in her antics, her legions of "fans."
Anyway, feel free to support fry cooks trying to blow their way up the food chain if it makes you feel better.
milky [email] said at 7:15 AM 02-09-2007: 'fraid not...
from CNN Marshall died a year after their wedding, but Smith, according to legal briefs filed with the high court, was not given a share of the estate in the will or separate trust.
"The problem is that the claim she is trying to pursue requires for its determination whether or not J. Howard intended to give her the assets," said Eric Brunstad, attorney for E. Pierce Marshall, the tycoon's son.
"But his estate plan demonstrates conclusively that he intended the assets to go somewhere else," he argued. "She says she just wants the money; the problem is that the money, again, under the estate plan, was designated to go to persons other than her."
Her original argument way back in the day was that she was owed money in part because she performed "marital duties."
rick [email] said at 10:53 AM 02-09-2007: The issue before the Supreme Court (yes, it went all the way to the Supreme Court), I believe, was whether or not the federal government had any jurisdiction regarding the will enforcement or interpretation.
abby [email] said at 8:18 AM 02-09-2007: this must be another case of generational difference, which seems to come up so much on killoggs; the isolated and gutted male in his thirties is not someone i expect to see eye to eye with anymore!
dave [email] said at 12:03 PM 02-09-2007: likewise I can't understand why you would be sympathetic to the plight of someone who reveled in being crass, so much they made a career out of it.
milky [email] said at 9:32 PM 02-09-2007: the isolated and gutted male in his thirties...
That's hilarious. Really.
I'm having the most fulfilling life at the moment...things have never been better in my 30 years of life. I'm the happiest I've ever been.
Next month, I actually marry the woman of my dreams. It's the coolest thing in the world to have found someone who is a good fit and actually cares about people as much as I do, someone I respect, who respects me...and respects the work I do.
I don't expect you to see eye-to-eye with me when your eyes are already stapled shut. I take Ed's stance. She left behind a kid who is actually a bastard... no one really knows (ut of the 3 possible people) who the father is. It wasn't important to her.
kiche [email] said at 9:36 AM 02-09-2007: dude, this is the weirdest freaking story.
her son died (probably a suicide) while she was giving birth last year. and the kid she gave birth to is supposedly the child of the guy who was her lawyer on her reallity tv show.
and then there's the whole thing that she was a stripper who married a texas billionaire who died a year later and she didn't get any of his money.
ed [email] said at 9:56 AM 02-09-2007: I feel a little sorry for her. I feel worse for her daughter.
But I grieve for the world because this story is DOMINATING the news outlets. Entertainment outlets, I can see making this story a top priority. News, however, this is not.
kiche [email] said at 10:36 AM 02-09-2007: come on ed, it's a slow news cycle. it's not like we're at war and sending more troops to die in an unpopular, useless and bogus war.
Darryl X. said at 11:42 AM 02-09-2007: Her life saddens me. She was so sleazy that everyone she ever came into contact with seemed to become somehow sleazier by association. Nobody really has anything good to say about her, either. All they can say is she was a "sex symbol" or something. No one has said "she was a good mother" or "she was a caring person." No. Just a few brief remarks about how she got famous and then discussion of what's going to happen to her kid and her ill-gotten fortune.
rick [email] said at 11:48 AM 02-09-2007: Earnings from a reality television programme and modeling are not ill-gotten. I am not really sure what was going on with the will so I will not comment on that.
yvonne [email] said at 2:26 PM 02-09-2007: she was definitely not sleazy. she first made a career for herself by doing sleazy shit but that was more out of desperation and ignorance than anything else.
and she didn't make people sleazy by association. anna nicole smith just wasn't smart enough to mastermind anyone. people definitely used her to gain fame and fortune through her name. even if it her name was a joke. which is why it's easy to make fun of her, even in her death, as she was nothing but a novelty of herself and her life.
regardless of if she was the typical "good" mother or not, her son was the only person in the world that really loved and cared for her and as dense and pilled out as she was, she had to have known that.
it's fucked up because she was a waste of a life and she leaves behind a daughter that will no doubt grow up to be just as fucked up. it's not any sadder or more pathetic than any other case of a wasted life but she was sensationalized, she made a mockery of herself because it was the only thing she knew how to do. which is why people can make tasteless jokes in her death and not feel bad about it.
Darryl X. said at 3:37 PM 02-09-2007: I wasn't making jokes. I don't find anything about her or her life even slightly funny. I feel bad, sad for her. There was a soul and mind in her that never got a chance to develop much. I guess it would have been more accurate to say she ATTRACTED sleazy people who got sleazier over the time the yknew her...have you seen interviews with the Trimspa douchebags?
ed [email] said at 9:03 PM 02-09-2007: she was definitely not sleazy.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Dudess, taking into account her life circumstances (which, honestly, have no bearing on the end result), and the choices that she (or her handlers) made, there is NO legitimate argument that she wasn't sleazy - at least in her public persona.
She may have been an absoulte peach in real life, but if that were the case, surely some of her "peachiness" would have leaked through the facade, and she would have been a much more sympathetic character.
As history stands, she was po' white girl who went from working in a fast-food dive to a stripper who married an 89-year-old billionaire, to a Playmate, to a "Divorce Court" superstar, to a drugged-out and incoherent bimbo, to a grief-stricken mother, to a corpse.
I may have left out a lowlight or three.
I'm not trying to make a tasteless joke at her expense. I'm truly sad that her daughter will have to deal with the above for the rest of her life.
But just as in the case of the diaper-wearing astronaut chick, the only real sorrow I can feel is for those left to deal with the consequences.
Anna Nicole is dead. Astronaut chick's family would likely be better served if she had died in some catastrophic ball of diaper-induced flame.
Those who survive are left to pick up the pieces. It is for them that I am sad. The people who drew their families into the unsavory spotlight are too far gone to care.
