So Megan has started training for her new job as kindergarten teacher at an elementary school on the edge of Baltimore. It's supposed to be a bit of a rough school ( I think it's a Title I school, meaning the government has taken it over ) but we checked it out and the neighborhood didn't look that bad. Anyway, they found a body in the chimney the day after she started training. Story here. Not pleased.

I was hoping for an elementary school guidance counselor gig this fall, but the grant fell through.

However, Title I schools are the most likely to be taken over by the state or fed under No Child Left Behind. And at this point, any school that has been Title I for more than two years is probably on that track.
