Has there ever been a Killoggs book club?

I just started this book yesterday,

and I'm hoping to get it read before the movie comes and goes.

I'm getting together a last-minute book-club for encouragement and discussion--
Anyone want to read along?

i walk in to barnes and noble every weekend. there's always this big display of awful trendy best sellers. y'know, david sedaris books, eggers book, etc.

i always think to myself, jesus, who reads that crap.

    Do you mean "non-linear narrative" crap?
    Or "clever pomo-intellectual" crap?
    I haven't read anything by Eggers, but Sedaris is hilarious, and deserved the popularity...
    Anyway this book has been around my folks' house for awhile, and I remember being very turned off by the book-jacket description when it first came out. But somebody said it had fun language and storytelling, and I've enjoyed the first 20 pages or so.

i picked this up in the airport a few days ago for lack of anything better. i haven't even started yet. i'd be happy to discuss it with you, but i have a feeling that given my recent reading capabilities, it'll probably take me light-years to finish and will have to periodically endure some dusty time on the bedside table. so check this space in a couple of years, is what i'm sayin'.
