Dagon - based on a story by H.P. Lovecraft. It is a story about a couple who gets stranded in some small fishign town after their yacht crashes. Little do they know that the town worships a tentacled sea god that demands human sacrifice from its followers. It seems that in exchange for their servitude Dagon slowly transforms all the members of this community into fish-people. Lots of pasty face people with gills and webbed hands run around in this town. The woman gets captured early on, but the man manages to avoid the fish-people and almost escapes. While being pursued, the man (I never did get his name - oh well) tries to hide in the mansion which happens to be where the high priestess resides. He winds up in her room, and she dismisses the guards when they hear something. Seh them embraces the man and tries to seduce him. As she is slowly disrobed, we find out that she has gills under her breasts and tentacles instead of legs. For some reason I cannot imagine, the man freaks out and runs away. There are more bizaare scenes involving tentacles, human sacrifice, and boobies, but I won't say anymore just in case some of you out there want to see it. This was not my favorite movie, but I did enjoy some of the imagery and themes involved (sea gods, tentacles, people turning into fish, etc.).
V, The Final Battle - Does anyone remember this mini-series from the 80's? Aliens come to earth, and at first they appear as humans and friendly, but it is slowly revealed that they are reptillian lizards. They have come to Earth to drain it of its water and harvest the humans as lizard food. Yum. Somehow, a small band of humans with no military experience is able to thwart the sinister plan of the lizards and save the Earth. One of the more interesting and bizaare parts of this mini-series is that one of the women winds up having sex with one of the alien lizards and gets pregnant. She then has twin babies, and one of them is as green as a cucumber with a jaw full of spiky teeth. Yum Yum. That scene was totally bizaare.
Donnie Darko - A boy starts having visions of a "time traveler" named Frank who wears a particularly creepy suit with a mask that looks like a skull with bunny ears. Frank tells Donnie that the world will end in about a month which sets the tone for the movie. Some interesting themes/symbols in this movie is destruction by water (school), fire (fear/love self-help guru), and the wormhole/tornado.

I vividly recall being really freaked out when one of the humans who were on to the aliens ripped their latex mask off revealing a scaly green complexion and a glowing red eye.
I also remember being really pissed off when the series ended on a cliffhanger.
I love Donnie Darko, too. Very creepy. Great score and Patrick Swayze, too.

Donnie Darko is an incredible movie. The score is great also. It can be yours at cdbaby.com. It's one of my top movies I've seen.
