What's up?

I'm totally making a post from my new google phone!

For the first time ever I have the new cooool phone!

I haven't been able to tear myself away from it since I got it.

urggh, uhh, shit, I've been hovering over that damn thing daring myself to pull the trigger since it came out. Totally jealous.

The best part is I was due for an upgrade so I got like $300 off.

I am using it to write this response while lying in bed. Yes, I will hug it all night. Like a kid with a new favorite Christmas toy.

josh [email] said at 2:18 AM 10-29-2008:
i will spare you my speech about how its not actually a google phone, its a tmobile/htc/android phone. tmobile's marketing is working.
meredith [email] said at 9:13 AM 10-29-2008:
Wow, thanks for totally sparing me that speech, Josh.

Yes, it says t-mobile right on front, but everyone knows it as the Google Phone, so...

Josh, I do not feel Meredith understands the depth and gravity of her decision; please give a thorough and very detailed explanation as to how her 'google phone' is actually a tmobile/htc/android telepone and how tMobile's marketing campaign has affected her perception of it. Feel free to insert graphs and other visual aids.

I'm discovering new things about my phone all the time. I have a barcode scanner on it. I can scan any barcode and it will go online and compare the product to all prices everywhere, online and in stores, and tell me where I can get the cheapest one. It also has a map to the places that it suggests. Also, it will track me as I run with GPS and tell me my mileage and the best way to go if I want it to.

There is also a calendar. A google calendar.

    A barcode scanner?!?!? wtf?

Also: Does George H W Bush know about this?
meredith [email] said at 11:47 PM 10-30-2008:
Yeah dude. I just wowed everyone at the bar with my barcode scanner.
julie [email] said at 12:24 AM 10-31-2008:
That blow my mind. Really. I didn't know technology had reached this point. What the hell, I work at a place with a retail operation and our cashiers don't even have handheld barcode scanners. How embarrassing!
meredith [email] said at 9:36 AM 10-31-2008:
It's cool. I can scan a CD barcode and not only will it tell me local retail stores where I can purchase the CD and for what price (as well as like to a map and directions from my location to the retail location) but it will also compare online prices and show me how much I can download the album for online.
art [email] said at 12:25 PM 10-31-2008:
            that is insane
brandon [email] said at 12:48 PM 10-31-2008:
Sew this thing into your wrists, and you have Second Life in Meat Space.
meredith [email] said at 4:10 PM 10-31-2008:
Dude! This thing is amazing! I just scanned a French barcode (I bought a copy of The Three Musketeers in Paris) and it showed the book, in French, and gave me a list of nearby libraries I could go to as well as online stores, cause obviously Borders won't have the French version. I don't know why that impresses me so much but it really fuckin' does!
julie [email] said at 12:25 AM 10-31-2008:
You better be careful with that thing... as far as I know, a barcode scanner is a laser. Don't point it at anyone's eyes!!!
andrew [email] said at 11:29 AM 10-30-2008:
does it have googly eyes
