Let me first state that I am -not- a Republican or a Democrat. I loathe the two party system and I truly feel that we are fucked with either candidate for President.

Obama is greased by the same wheels that greased McSame's campaign. Big Money pays off BOTH sides, so Big Money and Big Interests ALWAYS win, regardless of the outcome of the election.

My question to the majority of Killoggers is this:

Are you voting for Obama because you Hate Bush and your are against what the Republican party supposedly stands for?

Or

Do you honestly believe Obama is the Saviour of the United States?

The reason why I ask this, is that I have seen hardcore uber-hicks actually stand up and say that they are going to vote for Obama after watching one of his speeches on t.v. I have seen this repeated over and over again, and to quite honest, it's creepy to see the antithesis of Obama's base being swayed by one speech.

I have to be quite honest. I am voting for McSame/Failin because it will keep the status quo in check. I don't expect things to get more liberal, or conservative under McSame, even with "Granny get your gun" on the ticket with McSame.

What I can't really stand, is that NO FUCKING BODY is talking about any real, and pressing issues facing the USA in the next ten years.

Obama talks change, and now McSame is talking change, but neither has a track record of change, only flip-flopping ON EVERY FUCKING ISSUE TO WHATEVER IS POPULAR AT THE TIME.

Once again, out of 300 million people in this country, the best we have been able to come up with is Bush or Al Gore, Bush or Kerry, and now Obama or McSame?! You gotta be fucking kidding me...

i'm voting for obama because i think he has good judgement.

as for the obama-converts, neil, times are tough. it makes complete sense that they would want some one like obama in office.

I'm voting for Obama because he is far more intelligent than McCain. Obama graduated from Harvard Law, while McCain finished 844th out of 849 in his class at the US Naval Academy and cannot do math or use a computer without his wife's assistance. McCain is not somebody I want to "fight with" much less have on my team. Obama is the best candidate, hands down. The only thing he has against him is that there are enough hard-headed people in the US who either cannot identify change and are scared to death of it. For Obama's sake though, he needs to put aside his 'tough', southside of Chicago talk and start talking about the economy.

Am I an unpatriotic Democrat because I think that even if it was a wide open field Obama would be the best president? No. It isn't a wide open field. That's just the rules, a two party system. If you think that the Green party is your party, or any other, you might not care at all who wins - which is a pretty strong vote for the status quo.

Is Palin unqualified to be Vice-President? Probably. It is remarkable that McCain chose a beauty pageant queen as his wife and his running-mate. It turns out she didn't sell the state plane on eBay. No one would buy it on eBay, so she sold it through a broker for a $600,000 loss. He's 72 years old and has had cancer 4 times. That's not the combination of people that I would like to see running the country.

Obama has made a string of fantastic speeches, the most notable at the 2004 Democratic Convention. I don't hold that against him at all. Is he the Savior? No. He's not trying to be. He's a very skilled politician, who has very creatively raised an enormous amount of money from small contributions, and the most qualified candidate.

Well put. I can't agree more.

For me, I have to add that I just got denied health insurance as well, and McCain's whoremongering with big pharma has a lot to do with this.
milky [email] said at 2:57 PM 09-06-2008:
I mean. McCain, this motherfucker takes more meds than I do and hasn't had to worry about the cost a day in his life.

I hope the bastard dies in the next year and burns in hell.

People that openly support McCain are literally affecting my health and I find these people PERSONALLY OFFENSIVE. I wish all the misfortune in the world on them and them alone right now.
brandon [email] said at 4:14 PM 09-06-2008:
Very well put, Andrew. I might crib from this. You get the "why Obama" question alot round here.
milky [email] said at 3:52 PM 09-06-2008:
Art, Neil...and the rest of you McCain supporters, I'll just speak like the Southerner I am:

You can either help me pay my health insurance or...

...you can all go to hell.

I mean that from the bottom of my heart you selfish motherfuckers.

Milk, if you were turned down for health insurance, you most likely qualify for your state's "high risk" pool. Here in MS, we have that. You essentially have to pay around $200 a month for at least a year and then the state forces an insurance carrier to carry you.

The biggest problem with free health care is the absolute incredible cost.

Wisconsin pegged the cost of free health insurance at $15.2 Billion. That number is around $3 Billion more than all of the taxes collected from all sources in state; $510 more a MONTH from each Wisconsin resident.

Here is the WSJ article:

http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110010374

Furthermore, I don't want free health insurance. Free, Government health insurance provided by the military, killed two of my aunts. I want to be able to pay for my health insurance. I would rather see some type of government subsidy, rather than full blown free coverage.

Milk, being a citizen of the United States entitles you to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Other than those guarantees, son, you're on your own.

So remember when you're feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space
Because there's bugger all down here on Earth

    Respectfully...kiss my ass.

All I want is affordable insurance and the 600 a month I pay now isn't.

    that is not an ARTICLE
