My mom just notified me that I have jury duty. In St.Tammany Parish.

What in the hell does a person have to do to get picked for jury duty!!! I seriously want to do it, yet I've never been picked in all of my 34 years of living. Everyone that I know has been selected for this, some more than once, but I've never been selected! What am I doing wrong?

Move to DC, everyone in DC gets picked all the time... relatively small pool of residents vs number of court cases that need juries. Woot!

Mere, out of an abundance of caution, send them a copy of the notice as well as a copy of your current license to let them know that you are no longer an LA resident.

If they are mistaken, they can issue a bench warrant for your arrest if you don't appear. You don't need that out there.
