Barbara's Bakery: Shredded Spoonfuls
"That's a big switch from Cocoa Pebbles," Christian commented.
"Yep," I replied. "That's the idea."
"If you're going to include every weird random brand of cereal, you're never going to finish this," he added.
"Maybe not."
"You should stick to the main brands."
"I don't know... maybe..."
He also noted that "Shredded Spoonfuls" looks like a rip-off of Crispix.
I thought so too, but now that I am eating a bowl, I can see that it is more like Life cereal, in hexagonal form. It might be slightly less sugary. The box makes this cereal appear more healthy than it probably is.
I find Shredded Spoonfuls to be pretty darn good. I could imagine myself enjoying many a box of this stuff, if I had the time.
Since my childhood, Life cereal has been a perennial favorite of mine. I want to do a sugar content comparison, but the Life cereal web site is not very informative. I can't find nutrition information anywhere. I looked up the information on another web site, and as far as I can tell, Shredded Spoonfuls is about the same. Regular Life has 6g of sugar per 32g serving, and my cereal has 5g. At least Shredded Spoonfuls doesn't have some ugly-gapped tooth kid on the box.
