This weekend I decided to enable desktop effects on my home computer. I am running Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon and decided to download the compiz plugins.
Here is a shot of the cube and also the water effect. With the cube effect I have four virtual desktops and I can rotate the cube to switch between them.
craig [email] said at 11:26 AM 04-22-2008: I generally use one for Firefox, one for Gimp, one for Open Office, and one for gaming. With Avant windows navigator, all I have to do is click on the dock icon of the application I want to use and the cube automatically rotates to the correct desktop.
