Killoggs New Yawk, help me out.

Chris and I are going to see My Bloody Valentine on Tuesday night and need a place to crash afterwards. We'll be out of your space Wednesday morning.

Who lives in NYC these days? Who would be willing to help a girl out?

K-hole me...I mean K-mail me...whatever.

ironically, i am going to be seeing mbv on monday night.

i will talk to rita about the possibility that you could stay here; but- i am not sure if we have some sort of bed for you...

That would be awesome of you to see if it's okay. We don't need nothing fancy, just a place to lay our head. Don't want to inconvenience anybody though!

If I lived in New York, and had a job, and wasn't sick, I might be going to this show. "Loveless" is one of my all-time favorite albums, and I also really like "Isn't Anything" and a lot of their stuff released seperately from full-length albums. But the cost of the tickets, plus the cost and time of getting there and back to see a band that probably wouldn't sound near as good as they did in the studio just doesn't seem worth it. Maybe since their reunion, they've mastered their sound on stage, but I doubt it. Kevin Shields expressed frustration about this very problem in an interview.

But let me know what you thought of it.

I'll certainly give you a review. I really am not sure what to expect...I have been so in LOVE with Loveless for years, it felt strange to me not taking this oppurtunity to see them play (even if it might not be all it's cracked up to be).

Oh also, I've been told that wearing ear plugs is an absolute must.

Brad...hell, I feel the same way. I'd love to go but my body ain't working and I'm broke.

My friends that saw them back in the day in NY said they were awesome live (and earplugs were needed)...but that being able to physically feel the songs added a whole 'nother dimension to their love of MBV's music.

I feel like I'm missing out on a show I've always dreamed of seeing 15 years ago...and have understood or thought that at the age I am now, I'dve definitely had the the means to go.

Fuck this economy! I really wanted to go to that damn show!

KICHE-- Get me a t-shirt there, black if available (but any color works if there's no black) size XL. I'll pay you double back.

Please do let me know how well this goes. I would love to go to this and was planning on hitting up ATP in NY, but it never materialized.

So how was it? Worth it?
carla [email] said at 4:58 PM 10-01-2008:
It was.....loud (but I've bet you heard that before).

It was worth it in the respect that they are my favorites and I always wanted the opportunity to see them live and I got it.

But once was enough. I generally get really cranky at shows though and we had to wait forever until they finally came on.

Earplugs were definitely a must although when it sounded better without them.
