I'm all grown up, I guess

I don't really post much here but things have been happening. THINGS have been HAPPENING.

I was in the hospital for a week last month (colitis) and let me tell you, those are some weird places. You kind of lose touch with reality when you're trapped in a bed staring at a wall (or a TV that is stuck in the corner of the room at a perfect angle for you to develop a permanent crick in your neck). Thank god for the narcotics they kept pumping into my arm or I would have gone insane. Anyway, I'm mostly better now except for losing a bunch of weight (mostly muscle) so I'm just trying to get that back. If you know me, you know that losing weight isn't really something I needed to do.

I bought a house on Friday. Signing papers committing you to borrowing huge sums of money on them is terrrrifying; mix that with the giddiness of buying a house that is practically perfect for you and you get a very interesting emotional effect.

Here it is:

Also, having a baby, due September 1st. I think it's going to be a girl but that's just a hunch. Here it is:

Looks kind of like an alien jelly bean, huh?

I finally replaced my stolen Gamecube last week, so if anyone has any old games they want to get rid of, let me know (BOSON I'M LOOKING AT YOU).

That is my weekend update - how YOU doin?

Congratulations on the kid; congratulations on the house but I'd hold off on that whole "grown up" business until you that question mark is gone. Then, AND ONLY THEN, will you be a "man."
marcia [email] said at 1:24 PM 04-09-2007:
Man, that house reminds of my hometown.
seipp [email] said at 1:33 PM 04-09-2007:
It's also weirdly similar to the house I grew up in. What is your hometown?
marcia [email] said at 2:53 PM 04-09-2007:
Potsdam, NY. I didn't grow up in a house like this, but 80% of the houses in my hometown neighborhood look like this.

I can never imagine having a house without a porch. In both NY and Tennessee I grew up with porches.
evan [email] said at 2:43 PM 04-09-2007:
man, moving to NYC was the worst idea ever. i'm ruined. i can never afford a sweet crib like that, but i also can't imagine living outside of NYC.
anthony [email] said at 7:28 PM 04-09-2007:
Wow. This is awesome Josh. I'm really envious of the house. I'm also feeling your pain on being layed up. I just had surgery and haven't been able to do anything active for over a week now. I think the narcotics have given me constipation. Good luck with everything.
carla [email] said at 7:57 PM 04-09-2007:
What a beautiful house! Wow, all of this is so exciting. Congratulations on it all! :)
