TABARNAK D'ESTIE DE CÂLISSE DE SACRAMENT!!!
I am so fucking pissed off right now you cannot begin to imagine.
There was absolutely NO POINT in taking that "placement MCAT" today. And I fucking knew that from the very beginning. I sat there for 8 fucking hours with my butt going numb and my back and neck aching like hell for NOTHING. I guessed on about 90% of all questions. If you're going to test me on something, fucking teach me the material first! Princeton Review teaching methods are fucking dumb. Now I'm probably going to end up in the "guaranteed-to-fail-don't-even-bother" group, simply because I haven't done any physics in 6 years, any inorganic chem in 5 years, etc. unlike the Sophomores in the class (and they make up about 98% of our class).
I wouldn't be paying $1,259 if I thought I didn't need to take the course and review the material before taking the test. I wouldn't be paying the $1,259 if all that stuff was fresh in my mind. I am not paying $1,259 to be made to feel like I'm a fucking idiot, and I'm too old, and I'm behind on everybody else. Let me just take the fucking prep class, and THEN test me!
Right now, I just want to punch my teeth out for not having taken this test my Sophomore or Junior year. This is NOT healthy.

I just scared the hell out of my mom who thought I had changed my mind about the whole MD thing for the 1,000,000th time. We all know I don't want to be a physician. Medschool is just a necessary evil in my research-oriented career path. Kinda like undergraduate college.
mary said at 7:37 PM 06-02-2001: Fuck med school. Just come work at one of the nice biotech companies in Maryland. Make $100,000+ doing research. That will buy a lot of shoes.
heather said at 9:56 PM 06-02-2001: are you saying that the princeton review class isn't very good or that you took the mcat too early-before you had time to learn the material?
Gen said at 12:04 AM 06-03-2001: What I'm saying is that having us take the MCAT cold (prior to any kind of studying or attending prep class) serves NO purpose other than justfying Princeton Review's sales pitch: "Take the Princeton Review MCAT prep course and your scores will increase dramatically!" No fucking kidding. Scores couldn't possibly get any lower.
Gen said at 12:07 AM 06-03-2001: And I would be in Baltimore right now, had I been able to afford the Johns Hopkins tuition. I was in. I just couldn't get the money. And I did resort to desperate means... Just ask Ben.
anotherben said at 12:32 AM 06-03-2001: well...if anyone else out there is thinking of taking the mcat..ill teach you physics and chemistry for the low low price of $800.
Gen said at 7:30 PM 06-04-2001: I just attended my first Princeton Review MCAT class today, and I must say, it looks like I'll definitely be getting my money's worth. My instructor is an MD ans she rocks. Can't chat any more: got lotsa prepping/studying to do!

What's the piont. I'm moving back to Thailand where I will forsake everything about this society. Your money does you no good without a soul.
