Chowdah an' tha Havahd Yahd

Are there any of you all left in Boston?
Anybody remember what's worth seeing in a quick weekend?
If I get my hands on the wheel of a car, any bridges to drive over or awesome/awful crossroads to travel down?

Any tips on getting a cheap ticket to Fenway?
Any excellent comic book stores, coffee shops, raw-food smoothie joints, or places to just stand and stare?

Neighborhoods I will get the shit beaten out of me for looking like a guy from California,
to say nothing of showing off my new tattoo?

Details on my timing and contact number in my journal.

Jake, is that 'ttoo real?

If you are looking for a Old-Tyme Beantown Streetfight, I should like to suggest the neighborhoods of Roxbury and Dorchester. If you really are inked as the photograph suggests, go to the bar, Ups N' Downs in Dorchester around midnight and show either of the bartenders with the shaved heads it. If you are not ejected at that point, proceed to the upstairs danceroom and show ANY of the guys up there it. Please give a full report with photographs on K-Lo afterwards.

Real? Yes. Really mine? Oh, no. No no.

Generally, my absurd fashion style and knack for code switching get me into and out of tight jams that most people would expect to result in bloodshed or at least bruising.

However, from everything I've heard about Boston, it's the only yankee city where I'm not trying to test that...

Bridges basically consist of the Tobin (truss) and the Zakim (cable-stayed). If you leave the airport and head towards downtown you will end up going through a number of tunnels (Ted Williams, Central Artery, Callahan and Sumner). In fact you can do a loop including all of the above if you care.

If you want to wander around, go up to Gloucester (gloh-ster) or Rockport.

Good places to hang out include Faneuil Hall and the Boston Common. Newbury Street heads west off the common. Newbury comics is the place to go for it's namesake.

The Common is certainly the place to stare.

A good way to see all of the historical/cultural stuff is to walk the Freedom Trail (white paint strip on pavement). Or you can take the Duck Tours and double back on what you want to hang out near.

Fenway is a no-go if looking for cheap. They have been sold out for years.

You won't get beat up anywhere. Unless I run into you.
