Blowing my mind beta

Ok, maybe I am too slow on this technology, but every single killogger needs to download this Google Earth beta. It is satellite imaging of the ENTIRE PLANET with streets, buildings, and what not. You can drag and zoom and click all over the FREAKING EARTH! Crazy. Check it out. Trust me.

http://desktop.google.com/download/earth/index.html

P.S. Sorry Josh, this should just be a link but I think this warranted a front page post.

You must have lived near large metro areas. Florence, AL, Danville, KY, and Ashland, KY are all just blurs. Waco, TX was a little better, but not much. The only places I've lived that have any resolution to speak of are Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale.

West Hartford was the only place where I couldn't find an actual photograph of the house's roof. Just call me city boy...

so.. how is this any different than maps.google.com?
brianbibbly [email] said at 6:42 PM 07-18-2005:
Don't be your usual retarded self Jeremy and download it. You should be able to see the differences right away. INTERACTIVITY! Too many differences to point out here. Try it.

some of the choice things to view with this so far.

golden gate bridge, amazing quality, you can zoom in and see the cars.

st. louis arch casts an amazing shadow

south lake tahoe, the water is unbelievable.

also for some reason they have the capitol and the white house tops blurred out, but the great eternal klansman still casts a nice shadow in D.C.

hmm i need to see if you can make out mt. rushmore
cecil [email] said at 11:46 PM 07-18-2005:
I read "make out with mt. rushmore"

Somehow there is a good joke in that punchline.

How about, "Jeez, you look like you just made out with Mount Rushmore!"

    any others?
