Danger Mouse and Dave Chappelle

Am I the only person who wants to see that old Nickelodeon animated series "Danger Mouse" released on DVD? That was such a great show, or at least I think it was, it's been so long maybe my tastes have changed now that I'm approaching thirty.

Nahhh, it was a great show and I would be first in line to pick it up.

Speaking of being hard-pressed to spend my well-earned money on pointless purchases for my own entertainment, the complete first season of Chappelle's Show came out this week and I bought mine as soon as my store opened Tuesday morning. I won't say that this is the funniest show EVER but daggumit it comes close. The best part is, the two-disc DVD is uncensored so you get all the cussing in its foul glory. There's also commentary on a couple of the episodes from Chappelle and the show's co-creator. Of course now I have to wait until next year (or later this year) for season 2 to be released. The episode a couple of weeks ago with Charlie Murphy and Rick James will make the whole set worth buying on its own. Shoot, the one last week with Charlie Murphy and Prince playing basketball was almost as great.

Briliant show I tell ya.

I love Danger Mouse! My favorite is when Penfold (sp?) would discuss his fan club which had nearly 4 members: a cat, 2 fish, and a golf ball, if I remember correctly.

I love both of those shows- though at first I thought this might be an announcement for DJ Dangermouse being a guest on Chappelle, which would be awesome.

OK, I think I get the MFPB, reference. Is it related to the Prince sketch?

After he beats them at ball, he fixes them pancakes, and calls them all bitches.

Penfold, Baron Greenback, The Crow, Dangermouse: formative experiences in my yute.

Speed Racer is on DVD. Danger Mouse should be, too. Pete and Pete should have been on DVD years ago. That shit is proper.
josh [email] said at 3:28 PM 02-27-2004:
Wait, they mention MFPB on Dave Chapelle?!?
brandon [email] said at 4:07 PM 02-27-2004:
Sort of... Prince and the New Power Generation beat these guys in a game of baskeball. Later Prince serves them pancakes, and he's says: "pancakes, bitch."

Prince was on Jay Leno last night with Mel Gibson. At some point Prince talked about dressing Mel in more flattering clothes and touched his hand in an effeminate way. Mel looked visibly uncomfortable, then my power went out, so I just went to sleep.

I'm looking for that guy. Mike Earle aka Mike Vacant aka 2Punk Shakur aka Mikey Mike and the Punky Bunch.

As it turns out, I was looking into dangermouse yesterday. Was trying to find a dangermouse mug, to go along with my car with the underdog decal on the back window (now who's the bigger nerd?). In any event, Ebay is selling Dangermouse DVDs from the UK. They're going for $30, plus whatever shipping and handling costs it takes to get them across the pond. Go to ebay, exclude cd and dj from your search, type in dangermouse, and there you are.

I realize this is off topic, and I know this sounds like the callers from cspan, but here's my bit of insight for the evening: I'm so glad that W. is preserving the institute of marriage. Now the makers of "Who wants to marry a millionaire" won't have to deal with those pesky gays.
Man, what a shmuck.

The best sketch in Dave Chappelle, was when he played the (blind) leader of a local white supremicist group who did not realize that he was black.

Ties with Calvin at WackDonad's and the first annual race draft.

That and the N___AR family. You can't beat that one.

I like when hes driving around with Mos Def and Mos Def is rappin'. The other day I was getting out of the subway and this mini SUV parks next to a fire hydrant, I was going to say something, but Mos Def was sitting in the passenger seat.
reggie [email] said at 6:52 PM 07-11-2005:
That song is on Mos Def's second (and mediocre) album and I remember when I first heard it I couldn't place it. It took me another couple of listens before I recognized it as the song he did on Chappelle's Show.

UPDATE: I did in fact buy the Danger Mouse DVD and I have watched and loved every single minute of it. And the episodes are all barely ten minutes long so you can take in a bunch at a time.

Now they just need to do Duckula.
