dave [email] said at 12:42 PM 06-28-2005: doh, i checked the thread too, i might have looked at the wrong one.
how hard would it be to put in a URL cross-checker, that before you post something it looks in the db, and searches to see if it finds a URL match then prompts you that you may be double posting?
josh [email] said at 1:27 PM 06-28-2005: it does that for links you add, it would be sort of retarded to do it in a post. i mean, since, really, a post should be more than just a link, ideally.
sonny [email] said at 5:38 PM 06-28-2005: but i didn't read about it till dave brought it up where it should be: front page.
I only skim cause i don't have time to swim
denman [email] said at 1:18 PM 06-28-2005: Oh, ok, just appologizing for the "Minor Threat" add makes everything okay. No, I mean, sweatshops are cool. I just didn't want to lose my "punk rock cred."
jess [email] said at 5:59 PM 06-28-2005: A) This is a great thread.
B) Consumer protest sometimes works, I guess. The sweatshop-boycott thing is difficult because there's almost no company that doesn't use them; American Apparel has its own share of weird labor/exploitation issues, too.
denman [email] said at 12:34 AM 06-29-2005: Yes, I know. They are supposedly "for workers' rights," but they won't let their own employees organize. At this rate, I'll just have to run around naked eating nuts and berries in the forrest.
