9:30 Club

The 6:30 show sold out, but a 10pm show was added. Will anyone else be there?

P.S. – Tickets.com SUCKS! A $5.50 service charge plus the $3.25 shipping charge can't be waived if you're picking them up. What the fuck?

its been a long time since i saw Sonic Youth. are their recent albums good?
kate [email] said at 9:47 PM 05-29-2006:
i wouldn't miss them at the 9:30 Club
kate [email] said at 9:49 PM 05-29-2006:
actually that was only a suggestion, yes i think it will be a really good show. i just think the 9:30 club is the best place to see a show and the last time i saw sonic youth it was at such a huge venue, so it will be a treat to see them at a decent sized club with good sound.

and argh, i meant to say i won't be at this show, but i forgot to say that, but i'll see them when they come to chapel hill later
brandon [email] said at 9:54 PM 05-29-2006:
Dude, as much as I love their stuff, I haven't heard a thing from them that I've liked since Experimental Trash, Jet Set and no Star

"Waitin' on the bullllllllllllll in the heather."

No, I think I'll take the bus, instead.

I'd totally never pass up a chance to see them, though.
brad [email] said at 9:48 PM 05-29-2006:
i honestly don't know, but i've never seen them live, and i'm sure they'll play plenty of old stuff too.
josh [email] said at 10:02 PM 05-29-2006:
I saw them play a few times in New York & in New Orleans... EJSTNS and Washing Machine era. Washing Machine is pretty good, brandon, give it a chance.
brandon [email] said at 10:08 PM 05-29-2006:
Bah, no, you're right. Washing Machine is good. I had my chronology mixed up. Somewhere, I still have a washingmachine magnet.
brad [email] said at 10:27 PM 05-29-2006:

you know I really hated Pearl Jam until the took on ticketmaster. It's ridiculous that these different ticket vendors tend to get exclusivity to certain markets, charge outrageous unwaivable fees, and often in the case of assigned seating pass tickets out to the scalping agents under the table for the larger cut.

It's getting to where most venues won't let you buy tickets at the door now, I'm not sure how to combat it.

just my ranting.
josh [email] said at 1:47 PM 05-30-2006:
now ticketmaster has announced plans to make the best seats available only by auction
