Dude, I would SO be there, if it weren't for the whole living in Florida thing.

Prince is one of my heroes, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. (Oddly enough, I was just talking about him earlier in some place that I can't mention, because the first rule is, you don't talk about it. Freaky.)

    ya - this year the Canadian shindig is in Halifax. Instead of the usual open bar get together in the hotel bar before the 'show', the group decided to set up a pub crawl around the city. gotta love those canucks...

I met the guy who is Prince's sound tech and the guy told me that Prince is an absolute perfectionist when it comes to his live shows. He also told me that Prince will practice hours before a show, then after the show he gets a DAT tape and a video of the show and watches/listens for any screwups and then generally does a "pop in" at a local club/bar and will play for free. He also told me that Prince is one of the most fan orientated of mostly all bands/singers. Prince saves the first front two rows of seats for all of his concerts for fans from the official Prince fan club; only they can get the good seats. If only today's bands had 1/10th the energy and talent of Prince.
