anotherben.. said at 5:18 PM 01-08-2003: it is all an unfortunate side effect from hastily using the excel sort text function. at least you ended up in your correct city.. others were not so lucky.
Lisa T. said at 11:23 PM 01-08-2003: damn my slow ass computer -- sorry xmx, your head wasn't on my screen yet so i thought you were replying to anotherben and telling him to move to dc. carry on, and don't mind me....
tia [ url ] said at 8:22 PM 01-08-2003: Good to know there are so many Chicago Peeps, if I cannot find another job in Sydney I will be leaving Australia for the Windy City.
kiche [email] said at 4:43 PM 01-09-2003: the break down:
east side (represent): 23.......33%
west side: 10.......................14%
south side: 31......................44%
inner city (midwest): 4...........6%
out of state: 2........................3%
anomaly breakdown:
amy is listed as south side even though she is in new mexico because it's not far enough west, but luster is in arizona which is far enough west to be west side. i didn't count new mexico as midwest, because how much of the country can we call the midwest?
and so texas is obviously also in the south side category. as are tennessee, georgia, and north carolina, but i put richmond in the east side category (to close to dc).
gen's in montreal, definitely east side.
and wisconsin is pretty obviously midwest, as seattle is pretty obviously west side.
conclusion:
more of you motherfuckers need to move out of the south side. you've got plenty of peeps up on the east side to keep you company. or if that's not your boat we need people to represent on the west side. another project could be splitting up that huge chunk we call the midwest by populating it with killoggers, and the south west needs to become it's own "side". or break out of the u.s. and take killoggs to the international level.
but any way you look at it mor killoggers gotta get out of the south side.
kiche [email] said at 7:56 PM 01-09-2003: not enough killoggers live in tx for it to be it's own category. if more killoggers moved to the southwest, we could have a southwest category that would encompass tx, nm, and az; but as i said before, not enough killoggers live there...
kiche [email] said at 7:57 PM 01-09-2003: true, we'll count a dispensation for nola. you crackers still hangin' out in the br need to move on, though...
cricketm said at 5:26 PM 01-08-2003: good god, that was fun. hi back at ya arnie. everyone in chicago- will you be my friends when i come to town. i will use someone elses money to buy you all expensive gifts. all you have to do is hang out with me when i am alone....
brandon [email] said at 11:42 PM 01-08-2003: Give us an e-mail before you come in, Linus and I are losers without lives and we relish the chance to impress others with our vast knowledge of cross streets and train schedules.
joi said at 6:37 PM 01-11-2003: i think this shall be my first post because i live in chicago too and i feel that chicago needs more representation on this here blog. that is, if you would even count me, being a passive reader/non-poster (until now).
brandon [email] said at 8:15 PM 01-11-2003: ok, well what's your story then? We want 1000 words in AP perfect style about yourself or you can't post here. You have until tomorrow. And no using courier fonts to try and make it look longer than it actually is.
joi said at 1:05 PM 01-14-2003: oi... sorry... posted and ran... bad first impression.
i met ben c at my pub in chicago (ivan's) where his friend dave brown from nola pours strong drinks. he told me about this place. i run a kids online community. i spend too much time online. i have a typo and capitalization problem. i like yer blog topics. and while i may not be able to post with the frequency you all do, i promise to participate as much as i can. :)
brandon [email] said at 3:12 PM 01-14-2003: Thanks, Joi. I shall have to travel to this Ivan's and sample Dave Brown's elixirs. Perhaps Dave Brown knows the answer to the fat woman theorem. The answer, it's so close.
loren [email] said at 1:13 PM 01-09-2003: i'm surprised no one commented on the giving head part of that post. guess there's really no need to... it's a universally accepted truth.
No face here said at 4:48 PM 01-09-2003: While in Chicago you should try and check out the Lava Lounge on Damen and Iowa. It's a pretty sweet place with a nice laid back crowd and some plush couches to hang out on. They spin some pretty good music too. And if your not satisfied with your visit I'll burn the place down. How's that sound?
cricket [email] said at 6:36 PM 01-09-2003: hey thanks, that sound good. i have been to a coupla places: the hideout, shubbas? is that a place? and then a bunch of retarded i hate them kind of sports bars. i really really hate that piratey/colonial john something chain bar. the ones that have the oil paintings of ships and stuff. my friend lives in evanston, so i know it pretty well. as for downtown- i can get around but i don't know the best places to go. have you heard of the boggs? i heard them at shubbas- if that's the name. they were pretty amusing. punkrock zydeco is enough to make any loosiana girl smirk. so i am glad to know or at least kinda know some people in chicago. hey brandon- didn't we do the spoken word show together once? i think i know you. well, i have to read endless cases about the collapse of enron and the demise of ethics in the corporate world... blaaah.
brianbibbly [email] said at 1:04 AM 01-10-2003: G'Day Mate! (I know its cheesy. . . hey all I have to base my knowledge of Australia off of is Crocodile Dundee reruns and Outback Steakhouse.)
Kathryn said at 9:58 PM 01-10-2003: Australia is very much like the states! We dont ride kangaroos to work and Koalas arent cuddly and friendly they are MONSTERS! Crocodile Dundee doesnt depict Australia and the Australian lifestyle very well. Come and visit OZ, I bet you wouldnt want to go home!! :)
amynologinsukbut said at 8:08 PM 01-10-2003: i live in the southwest-it is so unlike the deep south and even texas that it must have its own category. no one else can play with us because our chile is green not brown.
kiche [email] said at 9:06 PM 01-10-2003: convince more killoggers to move there and it will get it's own category. presently only 2 killoggers live there, and if we throw in texas, it's only 4.
Geoff said at 9:31 PM 01-14-2003: Me? I found this wonderful site through Wil Wheaton's website and fell in love ever since. No connection with anyone who posts. Besides my sexual perversion with cartoon heads (especially Karas), i'm just a student at NSU. No LSMSA for this kid, no sir. Though, I did have a nice view of the dorms from my ghetto fabulous dormitory where I was an RA.
cricket [email] said at 8:37 PM 01-14-2003: yeah weird, dave brown as ben's friend. dave brown living in chicago is weird. the fact that dave brown now has a link to this site is ultra weird. but if dave brown will pour me strong drinks when i come to ivan's, then that is fine by me. so where is ivan's?
joi said at 12:45 PM 01-15-2003: i feel there is an interesting back story that i am missing. if i tell you where my pub is, you must tell me. dave is usually surly and ignores us, so you can talk about him for hours. ivan's is on roscoe and ashland. go on tues, thurs or sat.
