Kind of "off topic", or whatever that means, but you should check out this release party for a local NYC arts comic anthology. It's really pretty neat stuff and in your backyard. Or I don't know where you really live now since I guess you've moved at least once since we visited. but anyhow:
"issue #5 of meathaus is available for you to read and enjoy. at 104 pages this boss issue is big, bad, and ballsy. to celebrate, the meathaus crew put together a little party. please join us at siberia bar on thursday the 28th of feb.
siberia is at 356 1/2 40th st.
between 8th and 9th ave.
look for the blank door with a red light above it closer to 9th ave.
it starts at 7:00. the party and bands will be downstairs. i am not sure how late this thing is going but get there before 8:30 to get some comics before they sell-out.
there will also be some rocking out involved by two excellent bands
1. ANCIENT JUSTICE will begin at 8:30(featuring the drumming talents of meathaus founding member and #5 cover artist chris mcdonnell)
2.MZ PAKMAN will blast the doors off the place shortly after."
