Roger Dodger & seeing movies with your siblings

Hmm, no "movies" category. I guess "summer fun" will do?

A harmless movie discussion from the DS:

Julie: I want to see Garden State, and so does my brother, but we kind of icked out on the idea of going together. I think this is total Date Movie territory. Damn.

Courtney: I saw Garden State with my brother. I guess we're comfortable enough with each other to do that. We also watched Roger Dodger last week. Anyone ever seen it? (Yes this does relate to dating :P )

Julie: I really loved Roger Dodger.

And I'm sure I've seen "date" movies with my brother, it was just funny that when I suggested seeing it both of us were like, Um... naahh.

Milky: Jules, I didn't dig Roger Dodger. It didn't do anything for me.

Julie: I think I've loved almost every movie I've seen Campbell Scott in. So this may be a factor in my liking RD. But I thought the kid was great, and Isabella Rosselini of course was wonderful. Was it the story line that bothered you? Or the acting? Just curious.

Courtney: I love my brother, but I don't love my brother.

Milky: The storyline. I loved the actors...the acting was fine. The stoty didn't do it.

Josh: 1. roger dodger literally made mary vomit because teh camera is so shaky.

2. caitlyn who used to respond here a lot, her brother directed it.

3. i like campbell scott.

4. i liked roger dodger.

Courtney: so josh, in short: you liked it so much, but it made you vomit.

heh.

Campbell Scott is awesome.

Zack: TAKE IT TO THE FRONT PAGE!!

courtney: all right, all right

I really liked Roger Dodger, and I actually wasn't even very conscious of the shakey camera.

I like my brother fine, but I've probably seen more movies with him than with any other person on the face of the earth. In fact, I definitely have. So, it's nice to branch out. Plus, he talks during movies.

I think it's funny that we have a Funny Personals Ads post category, but no Movie category!

Finlly, someone who realizes that you have to get a login name on www.killoggs.com before you can see the pictures of Hillary Duff!

This Kayla person just wrote to me and said "Do you like Hillary as much as I do"

And I was thinking, well, I guess she's okay, standing by her husband and cancelling appearances while he's recovering from bypass surgery, but I don't really give her much thought...

        amazing!

I wonder what the cutoff age is between people who hear Hillary and automatically think Duff, and those who automatically think Clinton. Or is it more a matter of geography? Or sex?
