Playing with fire

Myriam came to DC and luckily, there were still some sparklers left over. Did you guys know that fireworks are illegal in her home state of California? I think this settles the long-running feud of who's better, East Coast or West Coast? once and for all. It was with great pride and pyrotechnic patriotism that I lit Myriam's first sparkler at 12:30am on the morning of July 4th:

but we set off fireworks ANYWAY! But I guess if you're into obeying the law and stuff, east coast wins.

That is some awesome sparkle motion btw.

I've always wanted to take sparkler pictures! I'm so glad these came out. That's me in the dark skirt, Myriam in the light skirt, and this guy A. in the middle.

It is unlawful to shoot one's firearm into the air as an act of celebration but people in the dirty dirty do it anyway.

Myriam and her breasts: a reason to celebrate.
brandon [email] said at 7:04 PM 07-04-2005:
What did you use to take those pictures?
ed [email] said at 9:29 PM 07-04-2005:
Just a guess, but I'd hazard... a *camera*...?

Thanks for clearing that up, Ed

Julie, with what kind of camera did you take those pictures?
julie [email] said at 9:24 AM 07-05-2005:
That's my new Nikon Coolpix digicam, 4.0 megapixels for just $199 at Best Buy. It's nifty, and probably the most bang for your buck right now if you're in the market.

These were taken with autofocus, flash off, nothing else fancy about the aperture/exposure time/etc, because I haven't figured out how to do that stuff yet. I kind of like how they all look sepia-tone, from the streetlamp.

Here is a link to it if you're interested.

Those are pretty cool. I'll have to post my 4th pics tomorrow if I remember to bring everything to work with me.
