Myriam came to DC and luckily, there were still some sparklers left over. Did you guys know that fireworks are illegal in her home state of California? I think this settles the long-running feud of who's better, East Coast or West Coast? once and for all. It was with great pride and pyrotechnic patriotism that I lit Myriam's first sparkler at 12:30am on the morning of July 4th:

These were taken with autofocus, flash off, nothing else fancy about the aperture/exposure time/etc, because I haven't figured out how to do that stuff yet. I kind of like how they all look sepia-tone, from the streetlamp.
