Aw, Reggie's birthday! Your birthday is special to me. It reminds me of driving all night to get to New Orleans for Mardi Gras weekend so many years ago. The sun was coming up in Alabama or Mississippi when you told us that it was your birthday. It was such an unexpected comment that we didn't believe you at first. But, why would you be lying? It made me feel special that you would consent to spending your birthday sleepless, cramped up in my car with no tape-player, going to spend a too-short weekend partying with friends and family in our hometown. I hope your birthday was happy!

That is one of the highlights of my life! Plus it was you guys who broadened my musical palette with all the Johnny Cash, Tom Waits and Dead Milkmen we listened to on the way there.

Of course this also reminds me of how we all almost lost our lives by letting that maniac girl (whose name I've blocked out of my memory) drive for so long on the way back. I didn't think it was possible to be that happy to see a State Trooper show up...
