I made it

So, I finally made it up to Denver a couple days ago. I kinda overshot my mark, however, and am living up in the mountains just west of the city. I expect I'll return to my more urban lifestyle soon enough. I can only haul my southern ass up and down these mountains so many times a day.

It's really beautiful up here. I've basically spent my last couple of days just driving all around marvelling at the mountains, snow, cliffs, wildlife, bubbling creeks, tunnels and whatnot. I figure I'll just bum around until I feel the need to get a job again. Lets just say that I'm really not feeling that need right now.

Anyway, I'll write more once I can make myself sit in front of a computer for more than a couple minutes at a time! Chow! Be good Killoggs!

Bibbly

P.S. I haven't sighted any hacky sacks or dreadlocks yet. I suppose they haven't woken from hibernation yet. I'm making an excursion to Boulder today to see if I can't smoke the hippies out of their hole.

Awesome! I can't wait to hear regular hippie activity reports!

Don't forget: "roibus" (redbush) tea in the teahouse, and DON'T PUT SUGAR IN IT. Get it with gingerbread cake with creme drizzled on.

Woohoo! I LOVE mountain living, I hope you enjoy it!

Sorry, but if you go the Dushanbe Tea House and don't try the house chai... you are a crazy ass fool! And the food there is world class. But you won't have trouble finding hippies. Also, the coolest little brewpub on Pearl, somewhere between 15th and 17th. Some very original brews. They also pour some "nitrogen" beers which feels very silky and cool.

that part of the country is really beautiful.

do the pine trees there have that odd burnt smell?

Nice Brian, I loved Colorado while I was there. Have fun in Boulder - have a sandwich at Salvaggios, watch the crazy Rastfarian Contortionist (rastatortionist?) on Pearl Street, hike Mt Sanitas, get a marg at the Rio, etc., man now I want to go. Where are you living, the Evergreen area? watch out for bomb-making radical hippies, Colo has a few of those too

Passed the bar yet?
zack [email] said at 6:47 PM 04-13-2006:
rad, congrats. I love the mountains. I never really knew I wanted to be around them till I came up here. Wyoming and the northmost part of colorado are pretty places (though mid and southern CO gross me out).
boudet [email] said at 10:44 PM 04-13-2006:
yeah, my sister has lived there for about 5 years. she loves it. you moved there just when I like it best, summertime. Boulder has some little brewery-pub-restaurant type place that's pretty good. I can't remember the name. Just watch that you don't get run over by a hippie in a brand new SUV in that town. hippies seem to be well off in those parts.

I was in Denver earlier this week then up to Loveland. It is a fun, beautiful, young place. Its really cool to see the Front Range in the background all the time

Go to Golden and go on a tour of the Coors brewery. Let someone else drive you there.

Boulder is my second favorite town in the US. I would totally live there if it weren't so expensive.
