my calling

I think i found my calling in life. it's to date girls just long enough to have their ex-boyfriends realize that they like them again, then the happy couple gets back together. So far, I have mended 5 relationships this way. Anyone else need assistance?

I hated being in that role, man.
myriam [email] said at 2:55 PM 09-27-2005:
Funny, your calling is similar to Amanda's. I SPY ROMANCE!
amanda [email] said at 3:28 PM 09-27-2005:
    HAHAHA!

    Yes.
amanda [email] said at 3:33 PM 09-27-2005:
(oh, except in my case, they also write me a confessional email/letter/message 6-12 months later about what a terrible mistake they made, how great I am, and how miserable they currently are with the...PERSON THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY LEFT BECAUSE SAID PERSON MADE THEM MISERABLE!!! Duh.)
boson [email] said at 2:57 PM 09-27-2005:
I've had this streak of "bad" luck where I'd date girls who had horrible crazy insane ex-bf's who treat them like shit. The girls themselves always manage to pass along the shitty treatments to me...

its never ending I tell you.

anyways, the thing is, we will always pick ourselves up keep on keeping on.
shauna [email] said at 3:04 PM 09-27-2005:
can't we all just get along?
boson [email] said at 3:07 PM 09-27-2005:
everyone is just as screwed in the head...
shauna [email] said at 6:26 PM 09-27-2005:
can't we just share the love? no labels, no jealousy. invite jealosy in; say, "thank you, jealousy, for making me listen to my needs and claify my goals to my partners." la la la.

yeah, right. don't try this at home, kids. just give up now, way in advance.

aim low. aim so low you won't even notice if you fail.
abby [email] said at 3:26 PM 09-27-2005:
boudet i would love for you to show me a whirlwind romance of self discovery. like all varieties of self-discovery, especially the ones where we have sex and stuff and you show me what pleasure is!

I've had a string of girlfriends marry the next guy they dated after me - not sure if I should take that personally or just think of it as dodging bullets...

I think maybe it's just we're at the age where people get married?
Michael said at 3:54 PM 09-27-2005:
Yes, but its much more narcistically pleasing to assume that everything is done as a response to me.

You should be wary of playing with broken dolls... especially recently broken ones.

No woman (except for Mom and Wife) is ever worth fighting for, in any sense.

When screwed up people can't cope, they tend to revert to the familiar because they *know* that comfort.

Mistakes will be repeated until learned from.

I mean, you're kind of right, but what a loser.
    "Broken Dolls"
Shut up, we don't need your 7th grade poetry here.
Thoth said at 4:13 PM 09-27-2005:
I did regret using that as soon as I clicked "say it".

As you can see, I am in no way a poet.

    OH DAMN, WHAT'S UP, SESUR?!

As always, a master of deduction you are, Mr. Sisk.

Welcome to 1995. IP address, meet Sesur. Sesur, IP address.
Thoth said at 8:10 PM 09-27-2005:
I was being sarcastic, and I know of IPs. Without IPs, the headless would be truly anonymous. Plus, it's the unofficial Sesur warning system.

          Nice assumption, though.

Yeah, you're the massah of sarcasm.

            It's a well-known fact on FIDOnet.
Thoth said at 8:59 PM 09-27-2005:
FIDOnet wasn't founded until I was 2 years old. That should illustrate how much I don't know of this.

If this is your lot in life, try going for the virgins. You'll still be the guy that made her go back to her 'ex... But you'll never be invited to the wedding...
