I'm hoping that he sues the hell out of the department and the arresting officers personally. The City of Shreveport needs to fire them and their supervisors immediately, or Shreveport is complicit.

If you're a cop and you use the word "nigger" while subduing anyone you need to no longer be a cop, and you need to have your wages garnished for the rest of your life for violating the civil rights act. This needs to be a federal case. Anytime, anyone, anywhere in a position of official authority beats down anyone while using racially charged epithets, he or she destroys the social contract.

You know in Louisiana there are entire parishes that black people I know do not go to because of things that happened thirty years ago - and for good cause. Because something like this is bound to happen. At the very least you run into the annoyance of being harassed for DWB through those areas.

    this won't happen. the most you'll see is "suspension with pay". i'm sure there will be a lawsuit. the city of shreveport will lose at first. but they will appeal and the monetary judgment will gradually shrink down to a point where the affair just isn't worth it. shreveport will bankrupt itself before it does more than slap these cops on the wrist.
