this is without a doubt the strangest place i have ever been in my life. the weird mix of ancient slavic structures and post soviet-modern technology is... well, i feel like i'm in an 80s european techno-pop video.
our place is huge, very nice, and ten dollars a night. i get the feeling my landlord in manhattan is cheating me.
oh yeah, did i mention that a lot of the old town looks like sleeping beauty or cinderella or something. it's total fairy tale land.
people drink beer with everything here. and the beer is good, and like a dollar for a huge ass mug.
breakfast is great. they give you some meats, some cheese and some bread and you just go to it.
it's late evening, but i feel like it should be mid-afternoon.
we walked across the st. charles bridge, but i didn't find the golden sword that's supposed to be imbedded in it.

I like the food and the language though the latter seems hard for an native English-speaker to learn. It has the second-biggest parliamentary building in Europe and the Danube is quite wide there too. The effect of the Gothic revival next to the river reminded me a bit of "the Stick."
