everything else was thrown away because i defrosted my freezer but forgot to plug the fridge back in for 2 days. so i threw away everything that said "refridgerate after opening"

After WWI, as part of the Treaty of Versailles, the Allies tried to punish Germany economically. This included Bayer having to give up its exclusive patent on aspirin and also France got a lock on the exclusive right to 'champagne' (sparkling white wine that is from that particular region).

I have read, that now certain countries in Eastern Europe, like Russia, Poland, and Lithuania, want to do something similar with vodka.
