PSP - I Still Love Technology

I have been amazed with my little brother's Sony PSP for a while now, but when he brought home Napoleon Dynamite today, that was it...this shit is AWESOME!

wow, you can pay $30 ($10 more than for a DVD) for a movie on a format that only plays on the PSP.

it is cooler than the DS, that's for sure, but I'd rather just have a portable DVD player or PMP (portable media player)
kate [email] said at 5:56 PM 07-08-2005:
hey man, when you are a kid, smaller is better. you can snuggle up to yourself in the back seat of a car and watch a movie that is all your own.

it's definitely not a way to have a collection of movies. it's just such a neat video game player too. man, the tony hawk video game is so awesome!

small is for people with enormous shlongs... i on the other hand prefer a digital flat screen 52 inch plasma wall hanging unit.

I agree with this sentiment. We're not really the right market for the UMD movies, but hell, they're pretty darn cool for kids that watch the same couple of movies over and over and over...
josh [email] said at 2:11 AM 07-09-2005:
it seems like kids that are in that market would be just pirating the movies, but maybe not...
courtney [email] said at 2:14 AM 07-09-2005:
case in point: GBA videos, which were are kid titles, like Pokémon, NickToons, et al. This would be an audience like my 8 year old nephew and 4 year old niece that watch the same thing 3 times in row.

Then again, kids that age prolly shouldn't have an expensive breakable thing like a PSP.

I just got TRON in UMD format and I love it. It's so fucking awesome to see TRON on the PSP screen. Sure, I could have ripped my TRON DVD and made a DIVX rip, but I could not pass up having TRON on my PSP in UMD. Now all the PSP needs is fucking games! Everyone keeps telling me how addictive/great Luminees is, but for some reason I just can't justify it's $40 price tag.

Lumines is the best title for PSP. Evar. I play it more than any of my other games.

You can try eBay or Half.com for a slightly cheaper price (-$10 give or take). Tony Hawk @ $50? Meh. Lumines is totally worth the $40.

Tell patrick to look out for the PSP Drum Machine when it is released.
