I know giving up food would be the most practical because it consumes so much time in production, preparation, consumption, and cleaning, but I'd still regret not choosing sleeping if it were to actually happen.

chrisx [email] said at 6:48 PM 05-29-2008: This has been a problem for me all of my life. I HATE going to bed (to sleep, sex is another story). I have since childhood stayed up as long as I could. Reading, interwebbing, movie watching, whatever, I don't want to surrender to sleep. I do not like to dream, as my dreams are often intense (not negative, just draining). I am also a total failure at getting out of bed in the morning. In fact I don't; I get up in the afternoon.
My relationships suffer from this (ladies always seem to want their men to retire along with them, and say they can't sleep without you there, even if you are just in another room).
My business suffers from this as I don't get enough done before 5pm.
It's a mess. The world should adapt to my nocturnal schedule.

Every girl I have dated has always nagged me on my sleeping habits. I sometimes wonder what I would have been like had I lived in an era predating the lightbulb.
