Last week I decided that this week I would start drinking coffee.
So I have a cup of coffee here.
I feel kind of good but I don't know if it's the coffee. Plus doesn't coffee stain your teeth?
I'm really pressed about my teeth.
I might just feel good because of all the plants.
Yesterday I planted an herb garden! Thinking about it makes me happy. How odd.. it's been so long since I've done real gardening of any kind. I planted an onion in my apartment a few weeks ago and I like to watch it grow.
Now I want to get a lot of plants for the apartment.
A girl at work brought in a bunch of Impatiens from her parents' greenhouse. I'm going to take this one home and try my best to keep it alive.
I love gardening but I don't think I'm that great at it.
Anyway, I planted an herb garden in my gentleman friend's back yard. It feels like a very commitment-y thing for a skeptic like me to do. But the plants will be there when I'm gone, whether they flourish or wither. Ha.
At the awesome crawfish boil I met Ben & Kim's friend Rose. She made a potato salad with dill she'd grown. She was a very sweet person and I excitedly told her how I was planning to plant some basil and rosemary when I left Ben's that very evening. She adored my fresh mint ice cream, and I happily left the last carton with her.
Her boyfriend somehow brought up the British television show "The League of Gentlemen," which I loved and had forgotten all about. He'd found taped of it at a thrift store. I liked that show.
Crawfish Boil June 2K7 was a smashingly spicy success on a most splendid summer day.

How much ice cream do you make at a time?
josh [email] said at 12:55 PM 06-25-2007:
when i was on my kick of bringing a liter of STRONG green tea to work with me every day i felt energized and super cheery... caffeine is a hell of a drug.

ps you can get an iced tea maker for $20 and its super easy to use/clean, and that chinese market by your house sells this huge box of awesome green tea for like $5. then i get mint leaves from health food stores to brew with the tea and it rules. you could also add your own herbs!

yeah I got a bunch of that tea from the market.
tea stains teeth worse than coffee.. but I usually drink tea with a straw, I've been way into iced tea lately

Coffee and most soft drinks will stain your teeth. Unless you drink them with a straw.
chrisx [email] said at 3:32 PM 06-25-2007:
Are you local?

What's all this shouting? We'll have no trouble here.

i drink coffee every day (cept for that time i quit) and my teeth are stained.
kara [email] said at 9:32 AM 06-26-2007:
Yeah I think I'm going to try to chew gum after my cup of coffee.
I forgot about the coffee thing, I'm glad I read this post. I need to go get a cup.
I actually was pretty productive yesterday, even after I got home... but that might have just been because I had work that I like to do here in the office.

That mint ice cream was very good - I meant to tell you.

I started drinking coffee out of the blue over a year ago. I blamed it on my then newfound love of Dr. Pepper. I don't know why but there was about a year between the time I suddenly had an urge for Dr. Pepper after never touching the stuff and my urge for coffee. It was a result of me staying up really late to write and finding myself at the Diner.

I'm thinking about buying an espresso maker and a proper grinder. Coffee definitely stains your teeth, or at least it does mine, but part of me doesn't care.

I kind of like the corn picture.
    the crawfish head-sucking disturbed me.

The other day, me and Ben let three crawfish including Clawson go in the creek and watched them crawl away to muddy freedom
josh [email] said at 12:14 PM 06-28-2007:
next year wyman park will be over run with crawfish, and they will have bad memories of being tortured by chris and jeremy so they will be looking for payback
