what are the most cliche hipster tattoos?

Blake and I are DJing at the Ottobar Sunday, in drag, for some reason.

I want to dress up as a hipster/myspace person/whatever. What tattoos should I get drawn on?

1. a black bird with wings out stretched
2. a nautical star
3. some asian stuff
4. ??

Add your own.

i don't know if food tattoos are cliched enough yet. you should stick to theb asics - when you say asian, you mean like crappy waves and fish and tentacles, right? cherry blossoms, something like that?

Blogger with a Digital Camera! Joooooooooooooosh!

I do drink the shit out of Miller High Life. But we've been swilling that shit here in the South way before it became "hip" to drink. It is in my Redneck Swag Beer Genes.
josh [email] said at 5:03 PM 07-20-2006:
that list is a bit out of date though, thats from like 3 years ago.

    some things are eternal, though.
josh [email] said at 5:04 PM 07-20-2006:
also one thing that always struck me as odd is the height ones... i mean, so somehow those people's genes decided to control their height in order to be tall/short?

There are a lot of hurricane/fleur-de-lis hipster Katrina tattoos going around lately. I met that chick with the doppler hurricane tattooed on her side a couple weeks ago at Rasputin's in downtown Baton Rouge. Cute girl, dumb as a brick.

I was going to add barcodes but that's more nu metal than indie.

Poems in cursive.

Kitschy thematic graphics that involve more than one person: lockets and keys, soupcan string phones,

fractured hearts over your own heart with "broken" in some foreign language.

Ironic old-school tattoos.

Polynesian motifs.

that's the emo'est thing i've ever heard.
brandon [email] said at 8:50 PM 07-20-2006:
The coolest tattoo I've ever seen was a set of sleeves where a girl had traced out the veins and arteries on her arm. I think I've mentioned it here. I was visually obsessed with the poor girl for quite a while.
pokey [email] said at 5:41 PM 07-29-2006:
Heh, I was just talking to my husband, last night, about getting my veins tattooed on with blue ink. I think it will look interesting when I am old and my skin has shifted.
brandon [email] said at 7:27 PM 07-29-2006:
It's not a bad idea. I'd do it. But I'm loathe to do more visible work other than my wrist. It was a factor last year in my not getting a job. And that pissed me off something awful.
evan [email] said at 2:16 AM 07-21-2006:
i had a friend who had tattoos all over that looked like threading and stitches so she looked like a big rag doll. looked pretty cool.
