Because the whole world is simply happy to be, look at the worm, woody, he's happy to be fed to the bird; as the sun is to shine and the tree to stay rooted in one place. Their lives have meaning, purpose given to them by their natures. Fappy is really a fish out of water. He is hellishly free. Unstrung from mechanical dictates of naturalism, he must literally make his life from one moment to the next. Sure, Fappy momentarily apes this blissful essentialism. But, one glance in the pond, a la Lacan, reveals what a sham this is, what a fraud he has become, bringing him crashing down to existential, solipsistic reality.
