i think i'm gonna mess with this some more when i get up. something's weird with the flow of it. may add a title or change the order of the panels...

The finger in the chili is only surpassed by the hugely-pupilled priest. Outstanding.
reggie [email] said at 7:57 AM 03-30-2005:
I like that there's all this cartoon nudity.
josh [email] said at 9:04 AM 03-30-2005:
whoa lots of nudity and some controversial subjects! maybe you really WILL get fired.
julie [email] said at 12:48 PM 03-30-2005:
Yes, this is some serious smut! Wowza. Pubes and zonked priest. Excellent work.

I don't get the abortion one, though. Can someone explain it to me?
cecil [email] said at 1:25 PM 03-30-2005:
I assumed there was some sort of time travel involved in that one.

I also thought that was a giant brain there... This one's very surreal.
julie [email] said at 1:54 PM 03-30-2005:
While you're wondering about that big brain, check out the mystery brain on the fish hook next to the fish. Wha?
kara [email] said at 2:43 PM 03-30-2005:
The fish hoook one was the only one I didnt get
zack [email] said at 2:53 PM 03-30-2005:
cause it was fake worms and not a real one that got him hooked.
myriam [email] said at 2:54 PM 03-30-2005:
I liked that one a lot--possibly my favorite--I interpreted it as, haha, the fish not only gets speared through the head, but he doesn't even get the wormy... it's like total redneck "gotcha!"
cecil [email] said at 3:04 PM 03-30-2005:
I thought it was that the hook went through the fish head and the hook popped the brain out of the head.

I actually like ben's images better when they make less sense.
Bendependent [email] said at 6:38 PM 03-30-2005:
it is supposed to be a brain coming out of the top of the fish's head.

also, i was kind of trying to imply that she had given birth to that smiley baby in the bushes. didn't want to have to draw afterbirth tho.

i rearranged them and changed the dialogue so it reads better I think. i linked the new one down below.
cecil [email] said at 7:02 PM 03-30-2005:
yeah, orphan inch is better now. I figured out those were bushes but I don't think it matters that I didn't get she had the baby in them.

I think you could make a good abortion joke that had a coathanger image in there somewhere... maybe not this one though.

sex, baby, priest, sex, sex is a good narrative way to end it.
art said at 1:34 PM 03-30-2005:
It took me a couple minutes, but I think Mom is saying to April Fools to baby 'cause baby thought it was going to be aborted but it was borned instead

meredith [email] said at 1:35 PM 03-30-2005:
        That's what I thought.
julie [email] said at 1:49 PM 03-30-2005:
Ohhhhkay. That's kind of what I figured it must be, but the time difference was throwing me off.

Did she just give birth, on the lawn? If so, I'd expect some umbilical gore. If not, nevermind.
connie said at 9:20 AM 03-30-2005:
BEN! That is WONDERFUL! (the comic and the good news)Is it just me, though, or did your head next to your post just blink? I saw it twice, so I can't be losing my mind.

hehe i like the guy crying wolf ;)

argh, dammit i wish i hadn't thought it was a joke and had actually written in!!
myriam [email] said at 10:36 AM 03-30-2005:
this may be the first time i've been burned by not being gullible *enough*
woody [email] said at 12:05 PM 03-30-2005:
I believed it but didn't write in. My apathy and laziness are vindicated! And probably reinforced for future behaviour.
cecil [email] said at 12:41 PM 03-30-2005:
I like that lumpy dude had sex with two women in the same strip! ... or two attempts anyway.

Is it just me or does the last panel read as Mom catching brother and sister in bed?

So does this mean you're a HAS-BEN?
woody [email] said at 12:58 PM 03-30-2005:
That's be a husband caught by his wife and kid. Now, I wonder why you thought of that first...
julie [email] said at 1:01 PM 03-30-2005:
I agree that it's confusing-- I had to look at it a few times, but ultimately came to Woody's incest-free conclusion. I think it's the presence of the little kid that makes it tricky to read at first glance.
emily [email] said at 3:41 PM 03-30-2005:
You expect us to believe this is actually going in the CityPaper?
Bendependent [email] said at 6:10 PM 03-30-2005:
SLIGHTLY REVISED EDITION
myriam [email] said at 6:45 PM 03-30-2005:
the orphanage one is WAY better without the dad. With the dad i couldn't figure out why the car was leaving...

also, totally don't get that the baby is borned in the bushes. but it's funny anyway!

i like to think Mr. Limpy Dick is on 'roids.
jake [email] said at 1:42 PM 03-31-2005:
This is absolutely lovely.
"Fold this strip into a feeding tube for your conscience" is my favorite--I like it best when the Fold This is a tangential joke about the kind of humor in the particular strip, rather than an extension of the basic joke. When it's, well, you know, meta.
