It's as singable as it was in 1995, when I first saw Avail. Saw 'em on a vary rare tour show tonight, and it was as sweet as it was back in the day. They're older, but they didn't slow down too much. I've never seen the singer, Tim, jump into the crown before. Also, so many thirty-plus-year-olds stage diving and going nuts. My throat is sore and scratchy, just like old times.

I miss the people that know me. The ones that know how to react when I'm in any mood- amplifying the positive and helping me deal with the shit. They're all so fucking far away. Even my best friend, who knows me like he knows his own ball sack feels far away, even though he lives just outside the beltway.
I guess we're all getting older and have to deal with our immediate lives, and even I know that I can't hang out as much as I used to.
But tonight, I felt so close to my friend, Julia, where we spent a long time on the phone catching up with each other through verbal self-analysis. It sounds weird being typed out, but it totally works.
I don't wanna go too into what we talked about but my point is this:
I called all the people I'm close to just to tell them I miss them.
Road trips are in order.

...speaking of bikes
The times that I've attemped to get to chinatown/shaw on bike have been like this:
1) My first time headed down this route, about 1.5 miles down the Rhode Island Ave., after not sleeping the night before it starts to rain HARD and I curse mother nature for trying to get that sex change.
2) My first time headed up this route from work after not eating lunch, my crank arm (the shit has the pedal) falls off, in the same place I get stuck in the rain.
It can only get better from here, as I attempt to not use gas at all.

Ryde Or Die Vol. III
I love riding bikes through DC. Sure, it's hilly and pot-holey and all the kids who get track bikes, fixed gearz, and road tires get fucked up... but I love it. I'll brake hard at a stoplight just to make skid marks. I'll take any route that's downhill. I'll push the pedals as fast I can. I have a pretty lightweight Specialized mountain bike with nubby tires that makes hopping curbs and careening through construction sites feel like I was a little kid.

So, i've been sick for the last two weeks. This shit... FUCKING sucks. I've been on generic Dayquil/Nyquil and it's fucking me up. I just pissed myself cause when I stood over the can, I had a coughing fit and I sprayed piss all over the place. I'm switching to Aleve Cold and Sinus, and that usually makes me feel a shit ton better.
In my medicated haze, I get all weird and submerge myself in the strangest thoughts. I've been really really... not angry, but wanting to be... violent? hurtful? ...to others. ...In a pleasing way. Possibly pleasing both parties. But I definitely took it out on someone at the Black Cat the other night. I told a girl a rumor that someone she slept with had a std. I was on Nyquil and I had a double shot of Makers Mark, and felt NO remorse at the time, but MAN did I feel bad afterwards. Up until that moment, I wasn't about to spread rumors like that, but, then... oops!
Meh, I'm about to fall asleep on the keyboard.
