28:30

So, not a very good 5k time - but two minutes better than my best race. I'll just have to keep at it and shave a minute off every race or so.

I could blame the race conditions: a late starting time - 11:15 on a hot and very sunny day and on a crowded course with no shade and 1800 runners. Or the steady beer drinking during the 36 hours before the race, or the mountain biking or the home demolition I did the day before or whatever. At least I didn't end up like that kibbying guy who collapsed halfway through and was having a seizure on the side of the road - yikes.

At least there was free beer and music after the race thanks to the brewery (Redhook) that sponsored it and on whose grounds we sweated and peed our hearts out.

I need to run more.
